Three generations of HR leaders.
NOT YOUR MAMA’S HR
I watched my mom’s career evolve from a bookkeeper on a cantaloupe farm in West Texas to HR Manager for a dairy company. My daughter is a successful recruiter and employer brand leader. I landed in the work of organizational effectiveness by helping leaders create the conditions for consistent execution on the right outcomes.
Not Your Mama’s HR is where I examine that work: strategy, leadership, culture, systems, and the practical challenges of adapting without losing focus. The longer view from three generations of HR experience makes certain patterns clearer. Some things change with technology and markets. The hard parts, such as clarity of priorities, leadership that can hold both people and results, and ways of working that actually support execution, remain stubbornly consistent.
The writing is here for anyone doing the work of aligning strategy, people, and execution.
Let’s hold hands and agree to limit the buzzwords and recycled one-liners that don’t lead to thought, discussion, or, better yet, action for the good.
